A combined drawing and my interpretation of Picasso’s cubism — cubism re-imagined with textile-like structures made by oil pastels, vivid colors, organs representing a living being and life. The erased charcoal represents the skeleton of the organism; death. The pen displays unity with geometric shapes; the connections between life and death. There are geometric patterns within geometric patterns — shapes, within shapes, representing complexity, data, and information and the material and spiritual world — the world of ideas. Throughout the process, I was not satisfied with the progression and thus made many alterations and iterations to continually improve. It may be interpreted as a tree or even an explosion.
